EASY TRIP MANHATTAN TO BROOKLYN.
I needed to take an out-of-town speaker from Manhattan to an address in Brooklyn in the 2nd week of November 2011. Manhattanites know how difficult it is to talk a taxi driver to go to Brooklyn or other boroughs. I got a quote of $50 which maybe required 2 hours.
A friend who lives in Brooklyn advised Safeway Car Service at (212) 826-9160. When I called at 3 pm to ask about a car, I was told the service would get right back to me. To my surprise, the car had already arrived from Brooklyn and was downstairs. The fare for 2 with trunk filled to capacity was $43 with tip. I will certainly recommend them to others.

Long wait. They arrived 20 minutes late with no apology and no offer for a fee reduction. They blamed airport delays, but they do charge passengers for wait time when we are late. Not planning to use them again.

Great Service. I was going from Brooklyn to JFK and made my reservation a day early! They showed up on time and even 10 minutes early! $25 to JFK while others quoted me at 32 and even 40 dollars! I called them back when landed and they picked me up with in 30 minutes with that same great price!

Horrible, cars and service stink. First car was late, then had to bring me back as the stink in this car was horrible, they send a second car which was even worse. End up taking a cab and almost miss my flight.

Horrible Service. I called for a car to come get me at the airport once I landed. The dispatcher said the car would be there in 20 minutes, and told me the color and number of the car. I waited and waited, and 45 minutes later it still wasn't there. I called back and he said the driver just pulled into the airport. 20 minutes later, still no car. I called back really upset and he said he'd be right there. Well, he never showed up at all. The man completely lied to me and made me wait an hour and a half just standing there with my luggage, and I ended up having to wait for a yellow cab after all that time. I never got a call back from the driver, so apparently he never showed up at all. NEVER take this car service, they are completely unreliable!!
