Horrible Experience. We ordered a 50 inch plasma TV online on 01-19-08, paid the extra $100 for expedited shipping and white-glove delivery. Received a call to schedule delivery through the delivery company ? A&M Trucking (?) out of NY - and scheduled for 1-24-08 (today). Time frame was 12-5 pm. Took a day off work to wait for the delivery. Received a call at 5:00 pm saying they were running late but would be at my house shortly. 8:00 pm rolls around and still no word. I had to call THEM to get an update, and the update was that they could not make the delivery as promised. Dealt with the manager at the delivery company who apparently doesn?t know how to ?manage? anything. Told me they would "try" to make it out tomorrow morning but couldn't guarantee it. Why, I ask, can?t they delivery it tonight as promised? Because they are making one last delivery and then staying overnight. What hotel, I ask ? I?ll go pick up the TV myself. Apparently they are staying at a VERY nice and expensive hotel in town (so that?s where my delivery fee went). This is what I paid extra for?! Aside from the fact that you can't get a useful person on the line at Abe's of Maine to discuss anything. If I had I would have cancelled my order immediately and gone to Best Buy. It's so not worth the fractional savings to deal with stuff like this. And they call themselves a professional company - yeah right. My advice - look elsewhere, they have horrible service, horrible delivery outsourcing, and (if you read the very fine print) a horrible return policy. I will NEVER shop here again.
