NON EXISTING SERVICE.. This is the first time I have been moved to write a review. Have just returned home from Enid's after leaving for the second time in a week to ten days without being served. Neither time was it too busy! I sat inside by the window and gave up waiting after 15 min's or more on both visits. The wait staff stood by the bar chatting amongst themselves the whole time. You have lost a customer and I will be encouraging friends not to meet there.
great food, great place, great times, BUT!. I love this place and always have a great time, especially on Saturday nights, but, here is my gripe; the place is always packed and seemingly doing well with great DJ's playing great tunes and somehow THE SOUND SYSTEM IS THE WORST!!! Time for new speakers guys....the hipsters will thank you!!!
Mediocre. We went for Sunday brunch yesterday...We were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait and ended up being seated over an hour later. (The host seated several guests who showed up after us first) The waitress was borderline rude and never came back to check on us. The leek and potato hash was pretty delicious, but the lettuce in my salad was still dirty and there was no salt on the table. After walking by several times, I was really looking forward to checking it out.... The atmosphere was cool, but unfortunately I was underwhelmed and will not be visiting again.
GREAT BRUNCH, BEST GARDEN BURGER IN NY, SLOW SERVICE. Enid's has one of the best brunches in New York, hands down. I usually order the huevos rancheros, or the salmon cakes with eggs. I was recently converted by the garden burger which is certainly the best in town. Just know that the service is really slow, and the prices are a little steep, but in my mind, worth it. Good portions, delicious food.
Kick it in style at this hipster HQ on the border between Williamsburg and Greenpoint.. Enid's is exceptionally large for a New York bar, even for Brooklyn. On weeknights, there's plenty of room to wiggle around; on weekends the crowd will keep your wiggling to a minimum. The flea-market couches and scattered tables and chairs complete the understated decor, though a big wall-hanging camel made out of gold sequins adds flair. The bar serves lunch and dinner, but it's the weekend brunch that draws the big crowds, who come to chow down on hearty classics like biscuits and gravy and sip on the superb bloody marys.
Hipster Alert. This place is more of a scene than a place to get a good bite to eat. They have a sorry excuse for brunch, which is always bland, the place is too crowded for no other reason than to be seen (again, the food isn't much), and the hosts/hostesses are mean. I remember when it openned and being so excited but the quality of food and service plummeted sharply siince then.
This place has plummeted in every sense. This place used to have a good brunch, good juke box, OK vibe but now its just loustyacross the board. Rude service, mediocre food and a large screen TV - hooray. They've replaced the jukebox with smarmy hipster-brats who play bad music and the bartenders can barely be bothered to stop talking with their friends to take orders. Take your business across the street - that place looks lamer but is much, much better.
YUMMY BRUNCH. Enid's brunch rocks! It's VERY veggie friendly, they have awesome veggie sausage that's so authentic I had to make my friend taste it first. The wait is long, but it's definitely worth it. The food is delicious and so affordable.
PLEASE GET A NEW HOSTESS !!!. this is a fabulous brunch place with a terrible hostess on sunday's. she is rude, doesn't know how to seat people or turn tables, we will not come here agin until the hostess is changed and we live in the hood so we will advise others to do the same.
