“i've only ordered take out here but its been really fast service, and some mighty tasty food for a great price.”
Tasty, tasty tasty, oh and did I mention its cheap?. i've only ordered take out here but its been really fast service, and some mighty tasty food for a great price. i had the port with the pork with the pork on the side, and the chicken curry on rice was good. we have yet to try any of the "exotic" cuisine like pigeon or frogs legs, but we're happy with the portion of the menu we have tried.
An out-of-the-way find for startlingly cheap Vietnamese food in Brooklyn's vibrant Chinatown..
The Scene
Twenty dollars buys a feast at tightly packed and perennially busy Gia Lam II, a divey Vietnamese spot, popular with families, lunch breakers, and afterschool teens, in the heart of Sunset Park's Chinatown. A friendly staff works the room, delivering favorites like crisp, crackling spring rolls and shredded pork rolls wrapped in rice paper. Pho tai, Vietnam's great comfort food, arrives with plenty of rice noodles and thin strips of beef.
Decent. The food is decent but the service is not all that impressive. Gia Lam I' s service is not much better but the food was.
