Overpriced and under-qualified. Charged over $550 for 2 visits lasting up to 1 hour, did not fix the problem with the heating sytem, wanted to charge additional $1500 for bleeding the system. Was not able to diagnose the problem. I then had to bring another person who said that installation was not done properly. These guys are not in the business of plumbing, they are in the business of "legal extortion" They also do not want to bill for the services. Request that you pay on the spot. This should be a red flag right away!!!!

They Want To Get Pay Without Providing a Service. Asked these guys to come out to look at my boiler. The guy didn't know what he's doing. So he took some pictures, sent the pictures back to the office, and made a couple of phone calls and then left without telling me anything. Then they sent me a bill for coming out. When I called them to ask about the bill, they said they don't come out for free. Not only that, they want to charge me $45 extra for doing a diagnostic (but without telling me what it is). No one agreed for him to do any diagnostics. Is taking pictures on a cell phone considered diagnostic? What kind of reputable company would do something like this? True, no one is expected to work for free. But they are expected to provide a service (something!) before they can expect to get paid. These people tried to rip me off when I am most vulnerable (boiler not working during the heating season). It is most unexcusable kind of business practice. It's comparable to a car mechanic who wants to charge you outrageous prices when your car breaks down in a strange town. I would never recommend this company to anyone. When you need plumbing or any kind of help for your house, it is best to ask your neighbors for recommendations. It is best to find an independent plumber who takes pride in his work.

These Guys Are The Best!!!. When we need to replace our water heater we called several plumbs. Mike Petri was the only one to keep his appointment. Everyone else was either late or didn't show at all. Michael not only gave me pricing on replacing my existing water heater but he also researched other technologies that he felt may have better addressed my needs. Once I selected Petri Plumbing & Heating his staff was wonderful. He had two guys do the installation and he drop by to see how things were going. They were not the cheapest but they were definitely the best value. And although there were some complications in the installation they did not try to charge me more....so the price was exactly what he quoted. All and all it was an outstanding experience. Will we be using Petri Plumbing and Heating for all our future plumbing and heating needs.

Impeccable Personal Service, Care and Knowledge. In my experience, everyone who works for Petri Plumbing & Heating is deeply considerate of the customer and their satisfaction: from the office manager to the tech that is on-call to the owner himself. Everyone is knowledgeable of their duties and considerate of your time and your home. The workers left my home in better condition than they found it. They cleaned up the entire area being serviced (the boiler room), and even tagged and tied up the loose ends of 'prior' contractors that had failed to follow through on their promises. They commenced and finished the entire job in the time they estimated it would take and made sure any outside work (i.e. electricians etc.) followed through and completed the job as well-minimal waiting. I can call on them day or night with any questions or concerns and am always greeted with a timely response. They even gave me an accurate window of time of when to expect the service-tech! How many people do that nowadays!? The owner, himself, oversaw all work being done and came to double check the work to be sure it met his standards and thoroughly explain the work and new machinery. I felt at ease, confident and (finally) satisfied that people in the service industry exist with integrity- a true anomaly. Their services don't come "cheap and slap-dash", so if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it here. But, you should expect that you will sincerely get what you pay for, there are no hidden costs, and a satisfaction knowing that your investment was sound. I can say with confidence that they will remain my plumbing and heating specialist .
