Simply Smashing!. This place has the best authentic Jamaican food I have tasted in all of New York> I have dined here several times and refute the other user's review, which labeled the place burgeios. I always heave a great dining experience. The ambience is great for a quick bite to eat w/ friends or your lover. My favorite dish is the pineapple chicken. I also recommed the freshly made juices like the ginger blend and breat/potato pudding for dessert. The colorful decor is inviting and cool and urban chic. This place is a real treat! The only drawback is the service can be a bit slow if you do take-ou, but the dine-in service is satisfactory.

Brawta why are you so slow. We have been to Brawata on a few occasion, after reading some of these reviews I will definitely have to check our bill next time. The food is good, warning, don't order anything seafood related if you don't have all day to wait. The women who are the waitresses, tend to be distracted and they wear very high heel, I do not know if that is what is keeping them from moving at a faster pace. The tables are definitely rocky. Overall not bad, a bit pricey.
