Great Gym. No one at this gym will make you feel self-conscious; Everyone seems to be "doing their own thing". I've never felt so comfortable at a gym, and that's what keeps me coming back! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have all the equipment you need. Ask for a free day pass to try it out and you will not be disappointed!

Friendliest gym- beautiful facility-the total package!!!. I was a long time member of this friendly and airy gym. I moved to Manhattan two years ago, and boy do I miss this gym!! The members are interesting, cool, and considerate. I have searched for a facility of this ilk in Manhattan to no avail. Whenever I am in Park Slope, I walk past this wonderful gym and get a lump in my throat.

Great Place. I love this gym. The staff is wonderful. It has everything you could possibly need in order to get in shape.

It's not stuffy or stuck up and there is a lot of open space so you don't feel clausterphobic!

I'll be going here for life ;)

You can bank on more than cool architecture at this little neighborhood gym.. The Scene
The ultra-classical facade is a reminder of the building's former occupant, Montauk Bank, and gives this low-key, independent gym a quirky calling card to distinguish it from its competitors. Inside, a loyal staff fosters the truly communal vibe and explains why the devoted core membership has stayed with the gym despite the chains, yoga studios and other (larger) local fitness facilities that have sprung into existence nearby.

The Workout
Since the equipment is primarily Cybex, Brooklynite owner Sal Mammana's pride is his wide selection of orderly free weights. Despite its spatial constraints, Body Reserve provides diversity options. On two cardio balconies, find elliptical, Stairmaster, rowing and treadmill machines, and upright and recumbent stationary bikes. A room once used by the bank president is now used for stretching. Classes, basically yoga and Spinning, are offered early morning and late afternoon.
