Best Video Store in the Park Slope Area. The best selection of current, almost current and classic films around. The staff is knowlegable, friendly and polite - great customer service. The associates are very friendly and helpful - I LOVE this place! I don't know if "kprattvideoinfo" has confused this amazing store with another store or just is a lonely, bitter woman having a rag attack on line. But none of what she writes is true. I bet she missed her shrink appointment that day!

TERRIBLE - WORST VIDEO STORE IN PARK SLOPE. Please. The positive reviews were written by the staff of this pitiful excuse for a video store. The staff are a bunch of high schoolers. Immature & hormonal I can't believe anyone would hire these children.

The selection is awful, don't waste your time!

AMAZING!. I would like to begin by saying this is my favorite video store. The staff is helpful, friendly and VERY respectful. I decided to write a review because i was so insulted by the review below. This is an amazing store with a very wide selection, including tons of new movies. I'd like to add the reviewer below clearly is the kind of person who is ruining Park Slope. Check it out yourself, really great store!

Worst Video Shop in Park Slope. I live almost around the corner from this place and I walk 8 blocks to Video Gallery (7th ave. and 8th st) where the selection is wide and the staff is mature and knowledgable. This selection at Video Forum suits the staff-herb friendly. The guy with dreadlocks hits on me everytime I come in-to the point where I wanted to report him to the manager-but he is the manager! His idea of flirting is telling me loudly with a wink that my Chinese classic film was "adult and late!" I went tonight and they gave me the wrong video. Their response when I called "Uhhhh, you could bring it in and we'll give you the right one."

Seriously bad selection and seriously lame staff.

Best Video store in Brooklyn. Video Forum is fantastic. The energy there is tons of fun, Deon, Steve and Joe are great guys (the staff) and are super helpful, a blast to talk to, and make renting an experience rather than just an errand. They have games constantly for free rentals or other prizes like a DVD player, especially around holidays. Fun music is always playing. They are also extremely receptive to the customers, they practically always stock movies suggested by customers, as long as they are available and reasonably priced. They have good prices, and they offer plans where you can save money or get extra time on rentals; they even offer over the phone renting!!!! GREAT GREAT STORE!

Nice Staff. I'm a film fanatic and even though Video Forum does not offer every obscure foreign title that I seek, their selection is good and up-to-date. The current staff is friendly, does its best to help customers, and ? not that this is relevant ? plays good music. Video Forum?s return policy is fair enough. The main drawback is occasional stroller clutter; as many babies live in Park Slope, this small place can get crowded with little ones at knee level.

Classic rock, film noir and a small, offbeat selection.. The Scene
There's something immediately laid back about a video store where the clerk sports a bandana on his head and a worn notebook on the counter lays open for customer suggestions. And customers actually write them! But friendly ones, encouraging ones. If Slope dads are picking up the movie, this is their pick. Classic rock
tunes conjure classic memories, as do the cult classic titles. Young folks in grandpa pants and hoodies also love the Forum for its uneven wood floors, focus on current titles and conversational staff.

The Goods
Special sections for film noir, anime and AFI's Top 100 are helpful for video brain-lapse or those in a rush. Also check out the manager's recommendations: Some people head straight for those. The store is comfortable enough to promote browsing but small enough to not get stuck in that "which-one-should-I-get?!" time warp.
