“told her I wanted a chocolate brown color, and picked out a color sample and named some famous people with similar hair colors to what I wanted.”
“an authentic original, long before the others came to 5th avenue.”

“We are a strong, talented group of people who pride ourselves on our proffessionalism and cooperation as creative unit.”
“also went to the main salon and got a decent cut at a fair price.”
“And never walked out dissapointed, many of my frends and their kids(Leila is great with the children) is her long time clients”
Finally! I've found a Stylist with talent and creativity..... I am so excited, I don't know where to start... My hair has never looked so good. Chai is THEE high lighting guru.. I mean she's so good, I only go every 2 1/2 months for my re-touch. That's how great it grows out. Truly amazing! I've been going to her for a couple of years now and she's consistently delivered GREAT hair! not only to me, but my mom when she comes to town, my roommates and my co-workers. Finding a great Stylist that gets it, is like finding the best mechanic.. lol ya never wanna lose them!
Worst hair experience ever..
After dropping $200 for (what were supposed to be subtle!) highlights, cut and blowout, and walking out with bleach-blonde -ish, frizzy-looking locks, I ran to another salon the next day to get my entire head dyed brown again. Ruined my weekend, put me $300 in the hole and am now stuck with the color I began highlighting ten years ago to get away from.......
(would have given zero stars in possible)
hey it's me..c'est moi...Lauren..I am now working here.
hi..this memo is mainly for my clients who are on the lookout for me..and for those of you who have never been to me...please feel free to stop by and say hello or call for a consultation appointment.. I would be more than happy to meet you....
-previously of the Aveda salon off 4th st. & 7th ave in PS..and still working in the LES...this salon has a light, cheery and positive feel..the best atmosphere for any creative to work in..and it's not micro-managed even better...the salon has been here in the neighborhood for over 10 years for a reason...we put out great work!..no-nonsense and no pretention..and we're still growing strong and prospering...
hope to see you here soon,
Lauren
If you're looking for a great make over.... I was looking for an experienced hair stylist that has some sense of fashion and what looks good on me... Chai cut my hair in a way that flattered the shape of my face and the color was amazing.. She wasn't afraid to step it up a notch, while keeping it somewhat conservative. She understands the importance of a consultation. She actually "listens" and therefore she delivers brilliance.
Hair Salon. Been going to Le Chandelier for years now and have never been disappointed at all. I have used a few of the stylists there and have always had good results. They listen to what you want. I would highly recommend this salon!!
Marc's new location. I found Marc at Delilah on Fourth Ave. between Union and President. The number is 718 797 2690. He listens well, gives a great cut and good suggestions when I want to try something new.
I have found theeee best hairstylist on earth!. She's witty, accrurate, full of fun style. She'll make you feel and look your best.. check her out... she goes by "chai
professional and reliable. an authentic original, long before the others came to 5th avenue. there's a reason tara's still there. knows how to cut men's hair-- style without pretension.
always accomodating. Always consistant cuts and colors. I've been very happy and even though I moved to queens, I still take the train back to LE CHANDELIER because "I'm worth it"
She gave me the worst hair cut!!. I got a haircut with Chai and she did not know how to cut fine hair, it came out terrible, and she took 5 min to cut, I will not go back, and I told all my friends too
