Editorial Review for Harry Bolands Pub – by Drew Pisarra
In Short
Over the long wooden bar at the left, flags assert an Irish-American spirit as the Emerald Isle's bold tricolors alternate with the U.S.A.'s flashy stars and stripes. Mottled amber walls (and one of exposed brick), beer-advertising mirrors, dark wainscoting and unvarnished floorboards, are all quintessential tavern. Customers who sit at round tables in back get easy access to dart boards and video poker machines; those who park up front watch TVs often broadcasting sports.

A couple friends and I recently checked out Harry's for the first time, and we had a great time. The place has a genuine pub feel, which can be hard to find in this area, and they have two dartboards where you can play without people getting in the way. The bartenders are friendly and so are the regulars, and the drinks are relatively inexpensive. I recommend Harry's to anyone, especially those looking to get away from more trendy, hipster hideouts.

The drinks are some of the best served in the city. The service is always friendly. As far as I've seen, the juke box is not to be beat in the city. Fireplace in the winter. Nice decorations for the holidays. Darts! Wonderful atmosphere.
Pros: Convenient, Inexpensive
