Not good for takeout – Disorganized takeout experience - took down address and number incorrectly multiple times, so food was 1-1/2 hours in transit. No apology. No re-firing of stale, soggy food.
Beans and chicken stew were good.
great lunch at fantastic price – although I've only eaten here once for lunch (I had the stewed chicken with green bananas and cassava) I found the food to be very good, and the price excellent. The chicken was flavorful, but not overpowering, and falling off the bone in wonderful plump pieces. The girl at the counter was prompt and smiling (which is rare in this part of town.) She invited me to sit down and even brought me a nice tall glass of ice for my complimentary soda. She offered me some bread, which I accepted, and which she brought to the table in a small basket. They ware crusty and golden, although admittedly a little oily. If you're close by for lunch, definitely do this place!
Exellent – The boiled 1/2 chicken with rice and beans is among the best Spanish food prepared in the city. I have tried other delicious items on the menus but always go back for the fresh and simply prepared comfort of the chicken, rice and beans--very filling while light and tasty. If you are feeling adventurous try the octopus salad, it is amazing also.
