Pizza Plus = attitude incompetence..
I ordered a Large Cheese Pizza and a Grilled Eggplant Tomatoes & Mozzarella Salad. The order was placed Nov 18 2011 at 6:44 PM thru GrubHub. I received a confirmation form GrubHub staring that the order would arrive by 7:43 PM. I then received an email stating that "Estimated delivery time is 7:26 PM." At 7:36 PM I called this establishment to find out where our food was. I was told by a man working there that "the order is out," meaning that the order was on its way. At 7:46 the delivery boy shows up, and has our pizza but does not have our salad. My wife was annoyed that they would show up 20 minutes late with our food and only have half of our order, and that the delivery boy had the nerve to expect money for the order when half of it wasn't there, as he attempted to call the pizza place to have someone else deliver the salad. I approached the door and the delivery boy tried to get smart and show us the delivery receipt where it said to deliver at 7:43. Unfortunately the guy apparently can't read very well, as the paper he was shoving at us said deliver BY, not AT, 7:43. And it was 7:46, so he may not be able to tell time as well. In any way you look at it, whether going by the time from GrubHub they had, or we had, he was late, had only half the order, and had an attitude. I told him what was going to happen at this point was, we were going to take the pizza, and when the salad arrives, they will be paid, not before. After a literal tug-of- war with the pizza (he won the pizza match; congrats, sport...) and the door slammed in his face, I called the establishment. I was met with even more attitude from the man who said he was the owner ("I've been here for 27 years, I'm not going to screw you out of a pizza.") There was no attempt to make the situation right, only resistance and trying to pass the blame on us and GrubHub ("He was only three minutes late....GrubHub shouldn't have said 7:26...It's a Friday....your view is a little skewed...") I personally don't care if it's Friday or not. I can accept incompetence. I can tolerate attitude if I have to. I can't tolerate both, and I let this man know so. If the place can't handle the volume on a Friday night, hire more or better staff. If the place can't handle the GrubHub system, they shouldn't use it.
So if you're looking for a place to order food from on Friday night, and are looking for your order to come extremely late, and incomplete, and have a delivery boy catch attitude with you, and an owner who blames everything on the customer or GrubHub instead of on his and his staff's incompetence, then this is the place for you.
Good basic italian food. good basic Italian food - not too expensive - nice people, good service. You can't go wrong here.
Great restaurant, wonderful owners. The pizza is great. We order of the regular menu sometimes too, especially for the rolls and the salad dressing, but the pizza is what we're fond of the most. Go somewhere else if you're looking for greasy, thin crust pizza. This is good pizza that will fill you up. Dine in at least once and meet the owners. They're always in a good mood; it's a true pleasure to see them.
Good Pie, Decent Chicken Ceasar. Just had a really nice pepperoni pizza delivered in 30 min. The chicken ceasar was okay, but the pizza is some of the best around here. I asked for it well done.
Great Pies. This place has the best pizza in the south slope. The rest of the food is mediocre at best, but the pizza is good honest brooklyn pie.
