not so bad.. Always crowded. Especially on a sunday! the food is decent. The people are friendly. The hot wings are horrible, but other than that, the menu is extensive and the atmosphere is good!
Typical diner. This place is your typical diner. . . with typical diner food . . and typical diner people.
My favorite place to eat. The food and service are both fantastic. The staff is friendly, service is always great, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous. I highly recommend this diner.
not for weekend breakfast. I have just had an awful experience with my family at the renowned Vegas Diner. I can't remark on any other meal, but breakfast was very disappointing. Odd smelling and tasting eggs, half toasted bread, under cooked and tastless home fries and canadian bacon that wasn't. The pats of butter were warm and runny and although the food was served in almost record time, a second cup of coffee was offered at the end of the meal. I had to take one set up from another table because the setting for two wasn't enough for my husband, daughter and myself. Not to go without mention was the fact that my fork was made of some material that was so pliable, it bent at every attempt to cut my canadian bacon. $24.00 for breakfast for three people was bit much for a meal of this calibur. I'm sticking with my neighborhood diner. New Clements for breakfast from now on.
great cake/poor service. I have been to the Vegas Diner on several occasions and both times the service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! The servers have attitudes and seem as if they could care less about the customers dining experience. It is not the best diner in Brooklyn by far. The food is ok and the prices a bit expensive. The best thing about the Vegas Diner was the rainbow cake, outstanding!!!!!!! I would return just to get a slice of the cake to go!!! Overall I would pass this place up and head somewhere else.
We'll be back!. I'm quite surprised with the other two reviews, since our experience couldn't be more different than theirs - and it was soon afterwards, too. Four of us had an early dinner at the Vegas Diner on New Year's Eve and we *loved* that place! The portions (of delicious food) were *enormous* and we took home about half of it. Our server was very sweet & attentive and the other servers were also very friendly. We sat there for a few hours and were never "urged" to leave. Highly recommended!
Avoid on any night, the worst service I've experienced in the entire tri-state area-2 thumbs way down!!!.
The daily news names this diner as the best of 2005 and I believe that they can't be further from the truth. They treat people worse than cattle and stuff you in like sardines. Filling the seats are obviously more important than providing the customers with good service and furthermore providing their staff with a safe work environment (ie: no room for them to get to the table..VERY UNSAFE!!!!). To walk to a bathroom was like making your way through a maze. TERRIBLE..Even the emergency exit was blocked with stacked chairs..does the local fire department inspect this place???
Take it from someone who prides themself with knowing good service...STAY AWAY FROM THIS SORRY EXCUSE FOR A DINER!!!
Expensive.
Food is very expensive !!!!!!
Its not the no 1 diner in the NY daily news
