Waiting and Waiting and Waiting for your food!!!!!!!. I am a very patient man who will wait for his food forever if it is good. I like Teddy's. I have been going there for along time now. I really enjoy the food. The service is lousy and has always been since I have been goingthere. I had to wait almost an hour today for eggs! The wait staff did not even care that I was in the corner waiting. I never recieved my food. The waitress told me she was sorry and she would fix the problem. So I ordered my food again and waited. Then the manager came to my table and said he did not have any more of what I had ordered,at that point I decided to go some where else. Teddy's was not crowded so that was no excuse. If you don't have patients of steele don't go to this restaurant.

Last Resort. The wait staff is rude and slow, the food is not fit for human consumption. The place has taken a turn for the worst since it changed hands a while back. The drinks are overpriced and the bartenders act like you are privileged to be served by them. I have eaten breakfast and lunch there with friends and both times we all felt sick afterwards. They need to hire a better wait staff, a cook who took a course on food sanitation and a cleaner. I have been a loyal patron since I was old enough to drink (at that time they still had an old piano). I have watched the prices go up and the service get worse and worse. Gentlemen unless your date is already drunk do not take her there. This is a great place for the nostalgic (but just to look). The outside looks like it did in the early 1900's when the bar was first opened. The bar itself is original right down to the ornate design the big old mirrors and the old bar stools. The place would probably do a lot better if they turned it back to the old speak easy it used to look like. They would first have to fire everyone but the hostess who is very pleasant and accommodating.

just ok. The atmosphere was great and then menu offered a wide variety of choices but every burger at our table was overcooked (medium= well done) and one came without cheese. We had waited so long already that we decided not to say anything. The service was friendly enough but we definitely had to wait way longer than we should have for water, a second round of beers, and to get our check at the end. I wasn't impressed overall but would definitely give it another try.

The best pub joint in the area?. Teddy?s is an institution that has tested the test of time and thankfully has not catered to the pretentious ?hipster? culture other establishments in the area have bowed to. One of the biggest draws to the restaurant is its diverse and well-made food, which includes a bargain brunch on weekends and the best burgers and steak fries in the neighborhood. Along the usual pub fare you will find selections that cross cultures and styles from American to Italian and even Mexican. Items range from sandwiches to sauteed salmon; pastas and specials of fajitas. A classic wooden bar, jukebox and comfortable settings (even a wood-burning fire place in the rear dining room) make for a more-than-average pub experience.

Williamsburg's past meets its present at this neighborhood institution.. The Scene
Teddy's dates back to the turn of the century, when loft spaces were still factories and nary a pair of math rocker glasses could be found on the streets. Outside, cheerful tin lanterns hang underneath the awnings, illuminating summer's outdoor drinkers. A step inside finds all the trimmings: A sturdy wooden bar filled with budding hipsters and old guys sitting side by side, an intricate pressed-tin ceiling and light fixtures older than your grandma.

The Draw
The stained-glass sign outside advertises a long-gone ale--Peter Doelger's Extra Beer--but fret not, Teddy's is sure to have your brew of choice, in addition to disarmingly hip selections like caipirinhas and frozen cosmos. Settle in for well-executed bar bites (enormous burgers, crunchy buffalo wings) or a surprisingly tasty apple crisp, topped with heaping scoops of ice cream.

Bartender. Best Bartender Kaylah....really turns me on!!!!!. Can mix a great martini. The Happy Hour can't be missed. The mix of American and Mexican food satisfies most appetites.

Bar Tender on Acid!. I used to eat at Teddy's atleast once a week, sometimes twice as they're brunch menu is so vast and their bloody mary's are to die for. But two weeks ago was the last time I'll ever step foot in that place. I invited a friend to join me for brunch, we were both very hungry and excited for the eye opeing bloody mary's as usual. We order our food and drink and we're prompted to show our ID. That's cool, i mean my friend and I are both 27, but thankfully maybe a young looking 27. So that's that and we wait. Soon after we are approached by the bar-tender who, in addition to the waittress, asks for our ID a second time. OK cool, this guy tells me the place has had a few run in's w/ the authorities for underage drinking, and so on. Fine. Can never to be too careful, you've got a living to make, do your due diligence. We show our ID's to the gentleman, who ask's my friend to remove it from the plastic window (like a cop) and begins to quiz him on the details of his ID. "When's your birthday? What's your Zip code?" Same story for me. My friend and I are looking at eachother like we've suddenly walked into The Twilight Zone. I mean we are frickin' 27 years old being reduced to teenage wannabee's in a crowded restaurant. Ultimately, my man the bar-tender hands back my ID and says "That's not you. I'm sorry but I am not serving you guys." WTF!!!!!! I said "if that's not me then who the hell have I been looking at in the mirror for the past 27 years!?" This guy was off his rocker and made my friend and I super haters of the place ever since. It's left such a bad taste in my mouth, I have got to slam it everytime someone bring it up. I even showed this guy my credit cards and work ID. "How many 20 year olds do you know work for Merrill Lynch ya nutjob?"

Best Burgers & Nachos !!!!. The food is really good !! The burger's are huge & delicious, the nachos are awesome & the drinks are pretty strong. it's always dark and the atmosphere is very village slash dive bar to me but i love this place !! They have some outside seats too.

I love this place!. The food is excellent and fresh, and there's a nice variety. I never get tired of eating here. You'll always leave feeling satisfied. Love the bloody Marys too!

Great Old Time Saloon Atmosphere in Williamsburg. If you're looking for an authentic old-time New York saloon with an inviting atmosphere and a great selection of beverages (beer, wine and whisky), you've just gotta visit Teddy's. Although it's a worthy stop anytime, we particularly like their weekend brunches. Try one of their signature Bloody Marys, and then spend the next ten or fifteen minutes reading the various menus. The food is typical pub grub, but it is satisfying and it fits the entire experience. Go and have a great time!
