When droves of hip East Village expatriates decided to cut their rent bills in half by moving to Williamsburg, the native element withdrew a little north. The Turkey's Nest is perhaps the neighborhood's last remaining pure Brooklyn dive, where the jukebox blares loud classic rock and there's always a pool game in progress. It's a blue-collar crowd, partying with pride and taking part in the the state lottery's most effective red herring, Quickdraw.

This place really isn't all it's hyped up to be from other reviewers. It's a clicky neighborhood watering hole where everyone knows each other. If you're not from the area, you'll feel out of place. I was expecting a much larger bar, but the bar area is small and there's a pool table in the back. I've read some of the other reviewers on here mention that there is a great classic rock jukebox, but it really doesn't have a good selection. On their jukebox, I was at least expecting to see some CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Eagles, etc...... However, it mostly contained classic rock artists that never really made it big. I was a bit dissapointed. However, the beer prices were cheap and everyone seemed friendly. I may possibly go again if I happen to be in the area. Just your average neighborhood no-thrills tavern.

Just down the street from Rosemary's, you can get another giant styrofoam cup of Bud for super cheap. I always had a nice time here- occasionally less crowded than Rosemary's. Nice bartenders; a good dive on Bedford.

Cheap drinks in a dank bar just down the street from McCarran Park. Where else can you get a giant styrofoam cup of Bud for $3.50? Watch various sports on the half dozen televisions, try your luck with Quick Draw, play pool or darts, or just get tanked and eavesdrop on your fellow barflies. One negative aspect has to be the terribly small bathrooms.
