Buyer Beware: Terrible customer service!. Purchased 2 AC units from eba, delivered and installed by contractors used by eba. Trouble starts immediately: 1 unit breaks circuit after only 3 minutes, won't run. I consult with eba "customer service (difficult to reach directly: leave # and wait for callback)", determine unit not overloading circuit. "Customer service" calls and connects me with manufacturer in Tennessee and leaves me on phone with GE, in effect "Goodby and good luck!" after unit only in apt.1 day and never worked! Next day GE-approved servicer looks at unit and says it was a lemon, can't understand why eba left me hanging with GE and all the wait and bother that that entails rather than just replacing it themselves. Call eba, get polite runaround, finally eba agrees to replace unit. They agree to call me on cell 1/2 hr before delivery of replacement unit so I can leave nearby workplace to meet them; instead I get a call that installers are on my front stoop and will only wait 15 minutes. They only wait 5 minutes. I get there <15 min: no AC, no installers. Call eba, told delivery/installation crew would come back in approx. 30 minutes. Several calls and almost 5 1/2 hrs later replacement unit finally arrives (accompanied by rude installers, no explanation, no apology)! Once you've made your purchase, good luck with customer service! Buyer beware!
