My Brand New Gas Grill – I've worked with Robin before and LOVED her, so I called her this time for a new BBQ. She helped me pick the perfect one (a Weber) and shipped it to me in just a few days. It's set up on my porch and I can't wait to fire it up!
My Maytag Refrigerator Is Broken – Let me start off by saying this wasn’t my first purchase with EBA Appliance. This is however the first problem I have had with a purchase at EBA Appliances. I’m extremely disappointed to say the least.
My MAYTAG MBF1958XES purchased from EBA was delivered and setup with the waterline for the icemaker. Delivery Service as usual was great. However the nightmare began after EBA left and received their money. Within a day the freezer area stopped defrosting properly creating ice buildup in the freezer area. Ironically the reason why I replaced my 11 year old G.E. model was for similar situation. I called EBA a couple of days later and asked for exchange. I was informed their Inspector would have to inspect my Maytag to verify the problem before any exchange would take place. I agreed and appointment was made. Inspector arrived, did his evaluation and test . It was decided the defroster in the freezer compartment was defective. Inspector left me a copy of his findings.
Since EBA did not have report back by end of that day I was asked to fax my copy to them. I received an email that report was received and would in writing be receiving an exchange shortly . A week went by and no such exchange. I was told however finally my brand new Maytag $1500 unit would have to be taken apart in my house and fixed. Obviously I would not agree to those terms since its brand new and hasn’t worked right from day 1. EBA told me I had no choice that Maytag controlled the final say. I called Maytag and was informed EBA makes those decisions on exchange or repair. Starting to get the picture here?
So for now I gave up a refrigerator 10 years old with defroster problems for a Maytag $1500 refrigerator with same issue inside. I decided to buy a freezer chest from EBA which came damaged, huge dent in exterior door . I inspected it before it was put into house. However making sure freezer works before its plugged in and running a couple of hours is impossible. It is becoming obvious getting a promised exchange is equally impossible.
You be the judge. Is it fair to spend $1500 on a new appliance that did not operate properly from day 1, be told your getting it exchanged , only to find out all that can be done a dismantling of the refrigerator for the purpose of putting in other parts? Is it right to be told by EBA if it doesn’t work right after this repair I would then get a new replacement when in fact EBA has a lemon guarantee that states unit has to be repaired 4 times before policy kicks in. Would you want to buy from a store that tells you one thing in your best interest and behind your back does something not in your best interest? Again you be the judge. I only stated the facts.
I bought appliances and 2 new beds. – I went to EBA to buy a full set of appliances for our new home and also ended up buying 2 beds. I choose Electrolux with the help of the salesman, Hauwk. Hauwk was wonderful and very friendly with my husband and kids. We received our delivery and the microwave was damaged, so we refused it and received another one the next day. Everything is now installed and we LOVE it! Hauwk, should you ever see this, thank you! We have sent some of our friends in to see you and they were also very happy with the service you provided. Lea
awesome cutomer service – my parents always go here to get all their electronic needs and they have some good deals ..) never had a problem with them
good buys – they always have updated products their customer service is so friendly and they really work within your price range to satisfiy your needs ..
Installers rude and unprofessional – Having used EBA in the past and have had decent experience with the installers, I went ahead and purchased a dryer. I carefully measured the door frames and gave that to the sales person. Told the window of delivery would be 7:30-2pm. Installers came after 3pm, and tried to remove the old dryer - didn't even try to turn it another way, but put it back. Asked to bring the new one in (thinking I'd eventually be able to take it apart on my own) but they didn't even bother. Said I need to call someone to have the basement door frame removed, then call them to install the dryer and then I would need to have the frame replaced. I was then told by the installer to call back and reschedule as Rosh Hashannah was about to start and he would be off for the next few days. They might be able to come back to do the work. If the guys were in a rush to leave early, then why schedule the installation so close to leaving for the day? I got the feeling they didn't want to bother doing the work at all. I called EBA - and was connected to the installers - that supervisor said he would talk to his guys.
I'm thoroughly annoyed!! I have placed a call to find another installer to do the work and learned this other place will do the framing. Once the work is done, I plan on emailing EBA's corporate headquarters to complain. And I plan I contacting the Better Business Bureau on the installers (HDS - Home Delivery Service) as well as EBA.
If this is how EBA thinks of their customers... fine. They are not the only store in Brooklyn.
Do Not Even Consider Buying From EBA! – An absolute disaster, and still unresolved! I bought a Bosch washer dryer from them a month ago. Some very late and very rude installers dropped it off but didn't complete the install because the outlet in my wall was different from the one of the plug. They said they come back the next to change the wall outlet. Never showed, never called. I hired an electrician to change the outlet, then plugged in the washer which did not work. They then sent some morons who confirmed that it didn't work. After a week of phone calls they finally agreed to replace the faulty washer. Then called back five minutes later to say it was out of stock. So I asked for a refund, and now they won't return my calls. Tomorrow I am calling a lawyer. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH EBA APPLIANCE!
A HORROR SHOW! – I have purchased from EBA in the past. Great prices if you EVER get the delivery. I was given a window of 2-6...at 6:30.....a no show and no call from their delivery service. When I spoke with my sales rep, Dominick, he told me he was not responsible for the delivery....since it was an outside company! REALLY???
Is this the way to treat a return customer???
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
I LOST A DAYS PAY AND THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

For 50 years we have been proud and privileged to serve our Brooklyn neighbors. We seem to have forgot that service was the greatest asset of any mom and pop shop; which is what we are and have always been. But you can be assured that we have been faithfully reminded by our fellow Brooklynites, and we are now making strides to redirect ALL our efforts into providing you with the most satisfying customer experience that you will ever have from an appliance store. RUN!!!!! – This is the worst company to deal with. They use bait and switch offers where they advertise a good product at low price and declare it out of stock upon arrival. Then offer you an inferior product for more money. They have very discourteous and unreliable salesmen. The last insult of all though is at delivery and so called "installation." That is when you get to meet the owner of the company! He delivers your item and gives you his "expert" opinion that you need to purchase additional attachments (give him another $150 on top of the $75 delivery charge!) or he cannot install it. He is more discourteous than his employees! What a creep! I threw him out and installed it myself. I will never deal with these crooks again!!
