Patient, knowledgeable and compassionate physician. I had a consultation with Dr. Baum following an automobile accident. I injured my knee in the accident. I waited a very short time to see him. He was very thorough and explained all of my options, both surgical and non-surgical. He wasn't too quick to want to operate which is unusual for a surgeon, which I was impressed by. He made difficult concepts easy to understand, and I left there knowing a lot more about my injury and my options without the feeling of being "rushed"out of the office as is the case with most physicians. If you have a knee or other lower body orthopedic problem Dr. Baum is the guy to see.

Great Orthopedist. Dr. Baum is a very skilled physician who is caring and very competent. He has several offices, and his Bay ridge branch is not appealing at all. It is rather drab and dark, but it is worth enduring in order to be seen by this authority.
