used to be better. I used to like this bar years ago, has declined within the past few years in terms of food and the quality of people there. I tried eating their food once but it made me throw up a few hours later. The fact that the health dept closed the place for a few months didn't surprise me either the place got dirty with garbage all over the floor and saw a rat running around sorry good old days are gone even though it has been 3 years since I have been there.

Snobby bartenders. I think what makes a place is the bartenders. If the bartenders aren't good at what they do or if they aren't friendly it just makes for bad business... which was the case here... so we decided to leave...There are million bars on 5th ave who have friendly people and good food... why go to a place that has snobby bartenders???

in the mood for a laidback night?.
When you want a laidback low-key night in the neighborhood, Bean Post is the place to go.
The open doors all around the bar are perfect in the summer. There are not many outdoor bars in Bay Ridge so this is the next best thing. The jukebox has a variety of music to keep everyone happy (except when some people play hours worth of disco... ugh!). The food is surprisngly good... try the sliders!
The bartenders ACTUALLY buy back so tip well.

The Best Place In Bay Ridge.
I love this place!!! Single lady's If you want to go somewhere where there are tons of good looking guys then this is the place! I have been a customer there for over three years and between me and my girlfriends, we never have a problem meeting guys! Even our male friends enjoy this spot, how could they not- they have tons of big screen t.v's that are alwalys playing sports and it's the least pertentious place in Bay Ridge!
Big plus- if you make friends with the bartenders, i.e throw them a little extra cash, they hook you up very nicely!!!!

One of the best kept secrets in Bay Ridge..
Jukebox is good, bartenders excellent, usually no trouble getting some space at the bar..
