best restaurant in bay ridge

My friend who lives in bay ridge gave me a gift certificate from Canedos, my husband and I went for dinner and it was a great experience, food was delicious, for dessert the waiter suggested the home made tiramisu and it was just perfect, we hightly recomended.

Yummy food, reasonable prices, friendly staff

I've been to Canedo's twice & was quite happy both times. The food was wonderful-1st time there were 2 of us, 2nd time it was 6 people, & everyone was more than pleased with the food, the dessert, the service, and the check. The portions are just right, not a heap of food, but not stingy, so you're satisfied, but have room for dessert. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Cons: Service a little slow 1st time, perfect 2nd time.

Great Food - Terrible Customer Service!!!!!!!!

Went to eat there on a Sunday Afternoon. About four other tables besides us. The food was GREAT - Salmon was juicy not dry at all but the tiramisu was unsatisfactory - no espresso in it and too much cream and hardly anything else. I used to own a restaurant and come from an Italian family so I know about food - but the service was TERRIBLE!! We waited ten minutes to be seated that I asked if I should seat myself and considering theer were only four tables the one waiter that was working was hardly ever in the dining room and ALWAYS in the back (most likely in the kitchen fooling around). One couple came to the bar and asked for their check because they were waiting so long for it and then all of a sudden the waiter showed up to apologize - when we left, the waiter did not even come to say thank you as many do in other restaurants - not even the girl behind the bar said anything - even though the food was above average, the service was terrible - Owner should train workers of the basics in greeting customers - Customer Service is always expected whether the food is good or bad..... F in Customer Relations - If the Owner is reading this - PLEASE TRAIN your staff - it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!! There lucky the food was good!
