Very Good Food - Comfortable & Casual Sports Place. I usually go in off-peak time, and I’m never disappointed by the delicious food. Nice comfortable, casual, environment and a great place to take the kids for lunch for a healthier meal that they’ll love, while watching all the sports playing on the numerous screens. Friendly and attentive staff.

Great place for a sweet moment. Cal Elliot is opening a new restaurant called Rye, in Williamsburg. You will find a very nice food and a very charming service. You will spend a very nice time there. The restaurant is located at 247 south first street between Roebling and Havemeyer, Brooklyn.

Lots of fun. I used to go here a long time ago, where I used to have loads of fun.. Now I enjoy going there on a Sunday. Not only do they have every football game on, but the food is awesome and the people there are fun... Gotta go every Sunday!

not the same anymore. I used to love the Dog but now its become a metling pot of really undesirable people. Its become sleezy and you cant go tot he dance area without some middle eastern guy grabbing you. The drinks are still fairly priced and the DJ is good, but overall if you are a bunch of girls looking for a fun night out I wouldnt recommend the Dog. Try Bean Post or Monk instead.

A Good Neighborhood Bar. If you want to get a lot, and I mean a lot for your money, try The Salty Dog in Bay Ridge.

The food is very good, and the bartenders are very cool.

good bar overall, but beward of guidos. salty dog was a great place overall, but my gripe was that there was too many southern brooklyn/staten island goombas all over. as a staten islander, if i truly wanted this crowd, i could have stayed on my side of the verazzano. but otherwise, its a place i would have definetly enjoyed in a less homogenous crowd. i dont think ive actually ever seen such a mass collection of gold chains in my life. salty dog is a great place to get drunk with your friends, but not a place if youre not looking to meet a guido, or a thug.

if the guys who own the bar are reading this:

PLEASE, PLEASE add another stall in the womens room. its like tokyo in there.

The good and the bad. The food at this place is great so I would definitely recommend going there for and early hour dinner. But this place comes to life at night. If you are going to venture into Salty on a Thursday - Saturday -- BEWARE. Its a great place to dance a lot, get drunk cheap and chill with your friends. If you are into guidos and thugs then you can hook up while you are there also but I wouldn't recommend that!! They play lots of hip hop and reggae but just enough house music to keep everyone happy... The bartenders are awesome and the firefighter theme of the bar goes perfect with the American Pride emotion New Yorkers have been dealing with.

Overall... a great Bay Ridge Bar (but please don't visit too often or else you will hate it... I promise!)
