Sorry to say your men's shirts section is awful -I don't buy shirts off a rack. You have wrestle the shirts to find sizes etc. No sales people to help. Your sales will drop.
Zero Customer Serice. I have attempted to shop at the cosmetic counters at Century 21 only to be ignored while the staff talk and apply their own make-up. Again today I went in, only because time was limited heading for a business trip. Once again they were all standing around talking. There was only one woman, Susan, who helped me and appeared to be working. She was quite lovely and the only reason I would return.
Great Brands For Less!.
If there is one thing I miss from living in Bay Ridge it’s having this department store in walking distance from me. I really grew to love this store in so many ways. I would often go shopping for myself and then I went shopping for others, Christmas shopping, baby shopping, you name it. I had no idea what this store was about until I stepped foot in it. There are designer brands at a very costly price in every department. You could also find really unique clothes, bags, and shoes. Oh Century 21 in Bay Ridge, the more I talk about you, the more I miss you!
You know when you have one of those bad days that you just need to shop because it’s truly a type of therapy. This would be my place of default. I wouldn’t even spend a lot. I love brands such as Lesportsac, Free People, and many others I find here. You can’t beat their prices for everything. When it was time to shop for others I would also come here and people were amazed by what I would find. This store is pretty spacious and gets busy obviously but not insane. Of course ideal shopping times are during the week and not weekends, but isn’t that the same everywhere?
I used to often come here even before they renovated it years and years ago, so the way it looks now is way better to me. Once I was in the area of the financial district and I have to say, after visiting the Financial District one, I realized this store is the one you need to go to. There are few things I miss about Bay Ridge, and this one is on the top of my list. Whether you live near there or not, instead of going to Macy’s, you may want to check it out here. It’s on a nice strip with many more stores and places to eat!

Hello DESIGNER WEAR! I must say, Century 21 Department Store is by far my favorite store to visit when I am looking for something fabulous for affordable prices. Whether it is formal wear, business wear, casual wear, awesome jeans or shoes, this store has a lot to offer for men women and kids too.
I personally recommend you take the trip out to 86th street in Bay Ridge Brooklyn since this store is way more appealing than the one in Manhattan. The Bay Ridge Store is divided into two shops. One has all your clothing needs and the other one has shoes and house wears. Everything is spread out and though you’ll have to wait on a line to check out, it won’t take forever. They are always staffed well and everyone moves quickly.
This particular Century 21 has by far the best selection of shoes I have ever seen. The styles are always changing with the season. I suggest taking the trip for summer sandals and winter boots. You’ll be flawed at all they have to offer.
One other thing, while you’re in Bay Ridge stop by Pizza Wagon on 5th and 86th and grab a piping hot slice. Their pizza is to die for.
So, hope on the “R” train and take yourself out to Bay Ridge Brooklyn to do some shopping and a little eating while you’re there. After all shopping can really build up the appetite.
great place and amazing prices. i loveeee this place i always walk out with stuufff great prices!!!!!!!!!
Old Cosmetics. Heads up – Century 21 on 86th Street is selling cosmetics that are too old. When buying liquid foundations or colognes, check them out thoroughly. Twice, I opened “new” bottles of foundation at home to find that the liquid had separated and the color and consistency were very strange. I returned them directly to the manufacturer for replacements, and was accused of attempting to return 4-yr old bottles; my receipts said otherwise. I asked them to investigate their counter at this store.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Discounted, designer apparel and housewares cram the aisles of more than 15 departments including clothing, shoes, electronics, luggage, lingerie and more.
