So a little while ago I visited Tendril salon and I actually liked it. I went on a Saturday. It is a little pricey however I enjoyed my experience. My stylist (I want to say it was Nana but I'm not sure) was good with telling me what products to use outside of coming there and how often to use them. I liked that she didn't try and tell me that I needed to be up in there every week getting my hair done ( was getting a blowout, trim, and twists). It is small but everyone seemed really friendly. I'd go back. She recommended a protein treatment for my hair and my breakage has slowed down. Next time I'm going back with a notepad. I'm going to post this on yelp as well.
Service Not Worth Price Paid.
LISTEN to me and other reviewers on this site, the price and service aren't worth it. I blame myself for not scheduling with Khamit Kinks in time and paying $100 more for two-strand twist extensions than usual - in all $435 w/tax! I had a great consultation with Diane but that's where the good reviews end, I won't be returning.

Diane and Nana (stylist in-training) seemed nice
Diane has carpal tunnel, I endured 8.5hours of an assistant doing 99% of the work (though my consult the day before was with Diane!) while paying Diane's super-high rate!
NO BOUNDARIES! Diane went on and on about her recent firing of employees leaving her with stylists-in-training and shampoo girls. Some of the stylists were also too chatty about personal drama, religious beliefs and homosexuality.
The price! Read the website for prices, you will be paying Diane's rate
Very 'intimate' and bare space
Questionable styling choices, Diane cut 1.5 inches of already short hair and then couldn't do the style because of the shorter length and her carpal tunnel. She also clipped the ends of my twists now some are unraveling. The stylist used gel on my twists, I usually get them dry. I looked like a wet poodle by the time I went home exhausted from being in a salon for hours, also the gel tub was unhygienic
For hours she didn't tell me about the carpal tunnel, she'd literally start a braid and stop to fiddle with the CD player, or something else.
I hate to give this review but it's my feeling about the whole regrettable experience.
The very first time I went there I was disappointed, the girl that washed my hair didn't use any conditioner so I had to ask her to use some & instead of combing my hair w/ the conditioner in it she rinsed it out like it was shampoo. My stylist was entirley to chatty & it took longer than needed to twist my hair, I hated te style .
The second time I went I got a new stylist & I left happy with the style my only complaint was it was way to pricey & my stylist was too chatty so again I was in there longer than I needed to be.
Third visit was a touch up & the stylist had no idea what she was doing, I left very annoyed.
Finally, just recently I had an appt to twist my hair again & I called to confirm my appt. which was in 2 day. The receptionist informed me that she had been "meaning" to call me to cancel b/c they were going to be closed. I was ANGRY! Why do I have to call in order to find out my appt was canceled!
