“This is a friendly, comfortable place and we're sure to go back.”
“last ate at La Palina when I visited Brooklyn and loved the food - as I did as a child when they were located near Navy Street, next to an elevated subway.”
“La Palina Restaurant is a great italian restaurant”

“This restraunt has awesome food, great waiter service and I've never been rushed in the 100 or so times I've eaten there.”
“The cost is a bit pricey, but you do get alot for your money.”
overrated, greasy restaurant, arrogant and greedy waiters. The restaurant is highly overrated and relies on its past reputation for taking advantage of the customer. The food leaves a lot to be desired, is not always fresh, and alcohol is switched to cheaper brands which deceives the patron. I found the waiters and staff to be unfriendly and arrogant, and basically just want to take your money and get you out of there as soon as possible. Mr. Anthony even had the audacity to spray cleaning fluid on the table while people were trying to finish up. You can receive much better value at other establishments.
Italian Restaurant La Palina. La Palina IS THE MEASURING STICK for great ITALIAN food. I am going to resent doing this BUT. The Best BAKED CLAMS on the planet are made here. You may think you know good baked clams. Try them once and I am sure I will be waiting in line behind you the next time I go to La Palina. I've been eating here since I was small enough to sit at the table sitting on phone books. The best the best the best.
One of the best New York Italian restaurants. Don't miss the hot antipasto!. One of the best New York Italian restaurants. Superb hot antipasto, mussels possilipo, spaghetti alio olio, chicken cacciatori, chicken scarpariello and all vegetables in garlic and oil. Great and unpretentious New York Italian restaurant atmosphere. Out of the way location. Hint: Travel down Avenue P to West 5th St., turn and go up W. 5th one block, turn right on Avenue O, and you're there! Enjoy!
Fantastic. A refreshing break from the buttoned up Manhattan Italian restaurants, La Palina is as "old school" as it gets. Great for a large family get together, the wait staff has yet to turn down a special request in front of me. A perfect Italian version of comfort food. My grandparents considered it a staple restaurant, and hopefully my grandkids will as well. The 3 dollar signs are misleading... it's extremely affordable. You get treated like a regular even if it's your first time there. Take the kids... take friends... take yourself... don't miss out!!!
