Best dim sum (but everyone else knows this so be ready to wait and share tables). By far the best dim sum restaurant that I've found in the last six years I've lived in New York. It's a bit further away for Manhattanites, but worth the long ride on the D train. Specialties include roast suckling pig, Chiew Chou fun gor, and the usual ha gow, siu mai, cha siew bao... plus some types of dim sum that the chefs "invent" -- freshness of every dish, huge variety, consistent quality, friendly/helpful staff makes up for the often-times long wait amongst the hungry and cranky crowds. It gets very busy so expect to share tables with others. As someone who has grown up spoilt by cheap and yummy dim sum in San Francisco and Hong Kong, Ocean Port is about as good as it gets in the New York metropolitan area. In fact, the food is so good that my fiance and I have ordered their food for our upcoming wedding in the Hamptons -- guess we are quite willing to go far for good food!
