I'll Endure the Commute For the Great Service. This review is for extension hair only.

I purchased their 'afro kinky' and 'natural curl' hair for two strand twist extensions and was very happy with quality and texture for $40 per oz. I went to the salon/shop and saw them actually curling the hair with a narrow cylinder stick (incredible) and know from experience that they take orders first come first serve, and phone orders usually require a 24hr turnaround for in-store pick up.

The woman on the phone pissed me off at first but was incredibly sweet and helpful when I went in. She's the one who suggested I mix both textures for an interesting look and she was right. Also she's doing EVERYTHING in that salon from treating extension hair, to scheduling services, taking orders and collecting payment - she doesn't stop.

The shop is in the salon and is mid-size a bit on shabby side but not 125th street - trust me. The main problem is they are far out in Bushwick. You must take the 2/5 and THEN a bus or $7 OW cab ride.

I'd say it was worth going to Erena's personally to see their colors and textures, my stylist at Khamit Kink's praised the quality. I've purchased the 'afro-kinky' from Lugo's (KK, I'm positive, uses the same texture for their baby curl twists) in Manhattan and while the price is the same and I like the overall texture, Lugo's keeps the 'afro-kinky' in a box, it's handled a lot, looks a bit dirty and shed a lot when I used it (though their other locations may treat it better).

I would highly recommend and will keep using them.
