Community Book StoreEditorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Large bookstore offers new, used, hard-to-find and discounted books in a wide selection of genres.
you are in hell. not really, just a maze filled with books everywhere - in crates, in boxes, on top of a step ladder; books in the nooks and crannies between shelves, books that have fallen in the tiny space as the shelf gives way to book weight (and gravity), books behind other books (secret discovered treasures!), books without covers. Simply put, this is the place where all the good books, the bad books, the new ones and even sometimes really old ones come to rest. I recommend bringing: a flashlight, something you can hold in your teeth as you explore the inner areas (scifi, history, murder mysteries) of this book labyrinth. And a snack - you're gonna spend hours in here.
Atmospheric treasure trove of used books. Community bookstore is the text-book example of a ramshackle used bookstore. Books are stacked in piles on the floor (although, the ones on the shelves are suprisingly well organized), and general sense of shabby disorganization reigns. The store is much larger than it looks from the outside, and the selection of books is vast. There are some new titles up at the front, but in general, this is a browser's nirvana. If you can't find it, you can special order anything you need. If you have any questions about books, just ask--the owner is a walking supercomputer of literary facts. Nothing but nothing stumps him.
