“This is a great to find the perfect pizza pie.”
“To drink, order a beer or soda but if you ask for wine, don't expect anything memorable.”
“by far the best place for pizza.”
“The pizza is crisp, flavorful and you can get a varied selection of ingredients, like fresh garlic, red peppers, and black olives.”
“People are dying in Iraq and all some of you are doing is getting all bent out of shape over the line at the best pizza place in town, under the lights of the city and the brooklyn bridge.”
“Grimaldi's is absolutely delicious and it is difficult to go back to regular old slices.”
“The service was very poor.”
“Definitely worth the trip to Brooklyn - this pizza is amazing.”
“The long line moved fast, Pizza was bland and the house red was awful.”
Grimaldi's is now technically Juliana, but more important than the name is the man himself: yes, Patsy Grimaldi has come out of retirement to make the pizzas that caused his name to ring out among New Yorkers for so many years. Just as importantly, the coal oven that powered all those pies is still in action, and just as blisteringly hot. Leave yourself extra time, though: no matter what the name, the lines are always long.
At your own risk... We went there in 2010 and thought we'd give this place a try since it appears to be 'famous' and there is ALWAYS a line waiting outside. So we thought it must be good, right? Well, we were a party of 6 and sorry to say, none of us were impressed with the pizza. It was OK but not great. We all scratched our heads afterwards wondering why people would want to wait to get into Grimaldi's when there are so many good pizza joints in NYC. The worst, however, was spotting a big roach running underneath our table. That certainly killed off whatever appetite we had left after the first bite. In case you still want to go find out for yourself how their pizza taste, you should know that they only sell pies, no slices, unless they have changed their policy.
Amazing Service, Delicious Pizza, Well Worth the Wait. We go to Grimaldis once year after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. There's always a wait but after you take one bite it is clear why there's a wait. I don't think I have ever had better pizza, anywhere! This year my family was treated so special by the kindest manager, John, and I'm looking forward to returning soon. We ordered 2 cheese, 2 sausage, ans 2 pepperoni and I expected to wait an hour because there wasn't an empty seat in the house. Our food was served hot and delicious in about 20 minutes. LOVE LOVE LOVE Grimaldis, Thank you so much John for making our experience so wonderful

Really great pizza.
Confirms that New York pizza is #1 !!!
Disappointed Again.
Five of us decided to fulfill a "bucket list" ambition to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge a few weeks ago. We were told not to miss pizza at Grimaldi's in Brooklyn and that it would be worth waiting in line for up to one hour.
As luck would have it, there was no line when we got there. And it would have been extremely frustrating if we HAD waited, because the place was not worth it.
First of all, four waiters were standing near our table doing nothing. We had to ask them to please take our order. The pizza is baked (not cooked!) in a brick oven which may account for the burnt crust and bottom of the pie, but it did not taste good. The top of the pizza was soggy and had almost no cheese or sauce. It tasted bitter and so was the whole experience. Don't bother, despite what the ads say. I don't know how they every got a Zagat rating but I'd sooner toss this pizza in the East River than eat it.
Just wait in line!. So good. So fresh. Somehow 5 people managed to eat 3 large pizza's... and we were all on "diets." I thought I was waiting in line at an amusement park. As frustrating as it may be, bring someone ahead of time to hold your hand and make sure you don't leave and remember me saying it's so worth the wait. This sign there says something like we are not responsible if you choke on seeds or pits? I thought this was a joke. That's the greeting I get after standing here like a jack a$$ all day? I'll translate it ahead of time.... OUR INGREDIENTS ARE SO FRESH THE PITS ARE STILL IN OUR OLIVES. Fresh mozzarella like you've never had before. That sign has really put a damper on all my other pizza experiences because now I search and search for it and understand why no where else can get away with it.
Great Pizza long wait.... but worth it. Me and my friend walked the bridge for a bite of this Pizza. It was well worth it. We had to wait in a long line but it was fine. The Pizza was really good. Def in my top 3
