The gorgeous frescoed interior is reason enough to come once, but pomegranate nectar dishes call for further visits. Try the maza, malfouf and bamia. Vegetarians will love the wide variety of options for them.
Lovely, happy, tasty. I love this restaurant, and have since I was little. It's such a homey place (even with the high ceilings) and the food is so tasty and reasonably priced. We love to come for birthdays and order the mezza.
Best Lebanese food, other than my grandmother's!. Ok now, Tripoli was never a seafood joint- the reason for the decor is because the city of Tripoli is situated by the sea. The food here is delicious....it tastes just like home cooked Lebanese food, and that's probably because it's a family owned and run business. The decor is maybe a little out dated but who cares, you're there for the food- I don't think anyone will be taking a bite out of a chair or anything like that. The prices are very fair. Not overpriced at all. This is the best Lebanese restaruant I have ever been too, food wise and price wise. Also, I didn't have a problem with the waiter, he actually gave me some dessert on the house. Will continue to return here for a long long time.
food is very fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Ambiance is just "ok".. The food here is beautiful: delicious, fresh and beautifully arranged. The decor needs updating. The restaurant appears to have been a seafood restaurant in a former life, as there are nautical looking ropes along the staircase to upper level. The bathrooms, and the stairs to get to them, also leave a bit to be desired. It is a pity that the decor/ambiance does not match the high quality of the food.
Good Authentic Food.
The food here is very authentic middle-eastern Lebanese cuisine. The dishes are large and satisfying and the bill is very inexpensive for the quality of the food.
The only odd thing about this place is that the restroom is 2 flights down in the basement.
Other than that, it was great.
Good but could be better. The food is wonderful but I do agree that the waiter (it's ALWAYS the same guy whenever I've been there) doesn't exactly put you at ease.
you should go here. This is what it is all about. Middle Eastern food prepared in traditional style...best baba, hummas and taboli....wonderful hot dishes - lamb with pinenuts and spinach...eggplant with yogurt sauce - outstanding! worth the trip!
