Brooklyn's answer to the bevy of microbrew bars that sprang up all over Manhattan in the '90s. – The Scene
Unlike its bigger brethren across the East River, Henry Street (formerly Park Slope Brewing Company) offers great hard-to-find beers in an intimate neighborhood setting, without the crush of cigar-puffing beer cognoscenti yuppies that have taken over the brewpubs in the big city.
Inside, you can belly up to the bar and soak in the thick, nostalgic Olde Brooklyn atmosphere. Outside, you can snag one of the tables in the tiny sidewalk cafe, sit back, pint in hand, and watch the world go by. And yes, Virginia, their tap beers are some of the best you'll find in New York.
Eldridge – Great beer selection, the food's good, the music eclectic, and the service friendly and efficient.
Great Local Hang – Great draught beer (they've actually got Old Speckled Hen on tap!) served by cool, attentive bartenders. Also there's always intersting music being played and top-notch bar-grub to chow on.
