great crowd lots of fun a little crowded. a lot of fun, good music and good crowd. the drinks were reasonably priced, too. my only grievance was that it was like being in a spacious sardine can... lol this place was cool.

Big Bill and Kicked Out. We celebrated a milestone at work and a large party went out to celebrate. After we ran up a tab of over $300 in mostly beers and ales, we were asked to leave because we were "making noise". It was just the normal chatter of a large group having fun...

Beamish and more. This bar is dark and cozy with attractive and classy interior decor - tin ceiling and belt-driven vintage ceiling fans, dark wooden booths. I live around the corner and come here a bit, the crowd is young and lively most nights without being too loud or rowdy; this is a good neighborhood pub. The prices are very reasonable for hearty pub grub in large portions. The beer selection is excellent and seasonal, with many great choices ranging from local brews to international favorites. They have 20 oz. Beamish pints, and are the only place in the US I've ever been to that offers this delightful Irish stout on tap. Options from Geary's, Dogfish Head, Sly Fox, Brooklyn Brewery, Six Point and more are also available on tap. The Mannequin Pis is worth a try. The service is generally ok, the servers are usually very nice if not the fastest. One small TV means it's definitely not a sports bar.

Great Ales! Great service!. I've been going to Henry's for about a year and a half now, and everytime I go I have a great experience.

The food is incredible. They have a wide variety of food from chicken burritos and quesadillas to fish and chips to the best burger in Brooklyn.

The beer choices are good, but I'd like to see new ones from time to time. I'm a huge fan of the Mannequin Pis and Staropramen, and this is the only place I know to get either. During the holidays the switch it up a bit and offer a great Dogfish Punkin Ale and a BahHumbug Christmas Ale. Again the only place I know that offers either of these.

The service is always consistantly good. They seem to have had the same servers there since I started going. Mostly all pretty girls and one very friendly hipster guy (who knew hipsters could be friendly). I always sit at the tables but I recently noticed a female bartender (about time!). When the place is busy (mostly friday and saturday) service can get a bit slow, but I noticed there is only one server on a time, so if you're in a big rush, I'd stick with getting a slice of pizza down the block.

If you're looking for consistency and a chill place to go and relax after a long day at work or just need to get out of the house I definitely recommend Henry's, it's affordable and easy going and delicious!

Regrettable experience. Horrible lack of service, civility, and regard for their clientele. Bartenders and staff are rude, neglectful, unprofessional, and clearly, from the history of poor reviews, unwilling to change. If this kind of service is their shtick, Henry out to be out about it. Otherwise, they have no business being in the hospitality business,

Spectacularly nasty service. Twice!. Last May, after several uneventful trips to Henry St.,, I accidentally left my debit card there, called to confirm it was there and came back for it the next day. The bartender at the time (Sat. early evening) couldn't find it on first go, refused to look further, and berated me for wasting his time. It was so astonishing that a server would give me a tongue lashing for trying to retrieve my credit card that I walked out stunned and embarrassed for clearly having made a mistake. The other folks at the bar looked shocked too! The next day they called to tell me they found it.

Yesterday, I tried to give Henry St. another shot and went there with two friend. We sat at the bar and I told the story of the debit card, ending with "We have gone on nights when that bartender isn't working and its fine. And the food's good." Apparently, the bartender working LAST night, took offense at the story. I know this because she was incredibly unresponsive to our wanting to order, got my order totally wrong and, when I asked for a soda on the house while I waited and waited (over 15 minutes for a fish sandwich--while my companions finished their meal), said to me "Really? You're asking for a free soda?" in a disgusted tone. No apology ever offered for the original mistake, btw.

At that, we realized the evening was ruined, canceled the order and had the remainder of my companions' meals boxed to go. Her comments on our parting were "you don't talk bad about someone's colleagues right in front of them." I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked to speak with her as the manager, and she refused.

So, my only option is to post my experience of this restaurant in the hopes that others will go elsewhere. The food is okay--competent enough pub grub--but the service is unremorsefully nasty. There are many, many other places to get a beer and a burger that don't leave you feeling abused and humiliated.

Awesome food, casual atmosphere. The food here is great! Everything is well priced, no complaints! The servers were very friendly and helpful in helping make selections. They have a large variety of tap and bottled beers. There is also outdoor seating if you wish to partake.

The WORST service. I've been here a few times over the past few months b/c I really tried to like the place because the food is affordable and I live somewhat nearby - but it has been a consistently bad experience. All of the employees (ESPECIALLY the bartenders, with maybe the exception of one) are terrible. They seem bothered to have to serve you and are just downright rude if you're not to their liking. Absolutely not recommending this place to anyone - in fact, telling everyone I know to stay away from it. Much, much better bars around the Atlantic Ave area. Service is key guys, so maybe you should understand why your bar never gets packed on a Friday or a Saturday night.

Mediocre. A great location and the great beer are nullified by uninteresting food - poorly executed - and bad service. I was in this establishment for twenty minutes before I got my beer. My companion had to ask for hers a second time. When that finally arrived it was fully one third head and just plopped down on the table like it was our fault it took so long. The odd thing is that they weren't even busy. I live right around the corner and would love for this place to be likable, but it just isn't.

This asset is being squandered by whoever runs/owns it.
