Tips for Perfect Paws

Terrible experience. Do not take your dog here. My small dog was injured during a regular grooming session, when they nicked him badly. I never asked for the dog to be shaved, and they did. When I contacted them after seeing the vet to talk about what happened, they were rude and nasty. They called my adorable dog ugly, and said they didn't care because he was a neglected animal, which is the furthest thing from the truth. Also, I tried to reach the owner Tom twice during that week to talk, and his nephew who answered the phone lied and said that Tom was away for several days attending to an ill relative, which was not the case and turned out to be a lie. After I saw the vet, I went to Perfect Paws trying to reason with Tom, and he further upset me saying that the cut was not his responsibility because the dog came in with some matting in his fur. Just because a dog is matted doesn't mean he has the right to hurt the dog. This place is a racket, and the owner is clearly in the business to make a fast buck. He cares nothing about the dogs that come in, or their owners, and he certainly does not stand by his work. It is several days post grooming, and the dog still hurts. It has caused a lot of sadness in our home, and Tom's rude and curt manner only added insult to injury. If you love your dog DO NOT USE THIS GROOMER!

Not such a good experience!. I left my dog with them for a bath and nail clipping. I explained to them that she had gone through many health issues and was a bit wary. When I went to pick her up she ran out of there with her tail between her legs and her nails were just as long as when I left her. They do not know how to handle a medium sized dog. I had to pre-pay and they never followed up with me or my dog.

over all a really nice place. I like the fact that the staff is genuine and has knowledge of all animal related stuff. the grooming is very good but hard to get an appointment. I wish they had more variety on food. I have the pet emporium for that just few more blocks away. I like that if we walk by my dog just drags me in for treats and they never say hes mooching, eventhough he is. Overall a really nice place that my dog loves to pop in. He doesnt need much grooming since I do most of it most of the time but nice to know I have a place to go.

Nice business tactics got you a new client. I was not happy with another groomer in the area for bad mouthing this and another place. I came to see for myself and was pleasently surprised, when I told the staff what had happened they just said to me well people are people. They didnt say anything bad and just told me to judge for myself. Anyway I am awaiting my grooming appointment next week and will fill you all in. On a business level they are by far more civil and not cut throat. You new local resident at 111 Hicks

Simple Honesty. I just cant say enough about this place. Price, Service, Courtesy, and just real honesty. I had my cocker groomed and I was stunned and how quick and how happy my pup was when he came out. The little spa bag, the information on health tips and just the sheer niceness of the people there. I would reccommend this shop to everyone. They are the Premier grooming shop in Brooklyn. Lenny and lil clara

Nice quaint store, helpful people. I was pleased to find a store in the area that carried a specific treat for my pugs. I was more pleased when I met the people that work there. Very cheerful , helpful , and they just seem to want to go out of their way for you.

It's nice to have a quaint mom and pop kind of shop down the block from me.

Great price>Location>Staff. Very nice to find people that are in the pet biz because they care about what they do. I am glad to have found your establishment. I used to use tailored pet and was told not to use this place by some people in the area, but it seems they had a different agenda other than playing fair. I popped in and checked your place out, and really like what your store offers. I will be a long time client. I also loved the grooming you did on my Bichon. Good local place, we need more.

Stopped in over the weekend and Was WOWED. I stopped in for some dog food and left with a degree in animal science and nutrition. The owner Tom walked me through over 30mins of pet nutrition and help, he is very well versed on pet health. They helped me get a new vet which I love and just welcomed me to the area. Not only did they win over a new client but made me feel like this was a neighborhood I will stay in for a long time to come. Thanks for the welcoming and advice. Jeannie

Really nice place,, good prices,, good staff.. This is a really nice place. I was pleasently suprised when I picked up my dog. She looked great, the price was right, I received a free spa/goodie bag for my pup, and I got to see her playing in the back with some other pups. I like the fact this place does not keep dogs in kennels for hours, they dont muzzle and they make sure your satisfied with all your needs and concerns. I would reccommend this place to all my friends and family.

Absolutely, unquestionably THE BEST!!!!. I cant express what a relief it was to finally find a groomer in brooklyn who not only accepts cats but knows how to do it RIGHT - WITHOUT muzzles, tranquilizers, constraints, etc. AND at the right price! Since they schedule cats at the end of the day, after the dogs are gone, the store was a quiet, non-threatening environment for them. I overheard the entire grooming process for both of my longhaired cats through the wall...the groomer talked to them reassuringly and I was told his assistant gave them a special ear rub the entire time to calm them. I did not hear a single meow, which is incredible considering they scream through every bath I give them! Usually when I bring them home after a Lion cut they hide under the bed for a few hours, but this time they were romping around as if nothing had happened! Can't recommend Perfect Paws enough!
