Beer Beer Beer Beer.
Lots of beer. Lots and lots and lots. And good eastern European food. Sausage and schnitzel and gulash. Bartenders are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and argue in Russian. Very entertaining.

Amid the warehouses and auto-body shops of Brooklyn's gritty Gowanus, a Euro-centric beer haus sells stellar suds and hearty grub..
On a grimy stretch of industrial Gowanus, this Eastern European beer bar appears like an oasis. Inside the sizable medieval room, swaying wooden chandeliers, lengthy communal tables and stone arches are contrasted by a thumping sound system and an armada of televisions tuned to the daily game. But the lure is beer, and lots of it: The dozen taps center on European breweries such as Krusovice, Spaten and Weihenstephaner. More impressive are the 250-plus globetrotting bottles, including selections from America's great Ommegang, England's Samuel Smith and Germany's G. Schneider and Sohn.
Hits: You can spend days sampling the lengthy list of rare and unusual beers without duplicating a drink. Plus, the meaty meals will stave off instant intoxication.
Misses: You'll curse the off-the-beaten-path location and the beer prices that are a touch higher than you'd expect in an industrial wasteland.
