Greenwood Park

Beer has been of cultural and social significance since Mesopotamia, but South Park Slope seems to have just gotten the memo. The opening of Greenwood Park, a spanking new beer garden, seems destined to help beer fulfill its purpose of social cohesion, thanks to suds aplenty and a wealth of outdoor activities that the whole family can enjoy. It has everything a Park Sloper could want: multiple bocce courts, a kid-friendly policy, copious amounts of craft beer, and one of the longest happy hours around (noon to 7pm). In other words, be prepared to find crowds, strollers, and errant bocce balls.
