really good. okay the food is amazing, but it is a little out of the way. the neighborhood is nice and super safe but it's kind of random. i think if more people try the food and realize how good it is they'll be willing to head out to gowanus. but i have a feeling this area is gonna blow up (with the whole foods opening next year).

Delicious pizza. The big difference between good pizza and great pizza is all in the ingredients--if they're not fresh they're not worth it. Monte's definitely knows how to keep things fresh and great.

Lobsterpalooza. really good deal on lobster every tuesday night...$25 for half a pound of lobster with really good sides. they give you about four or five options of how you want lobster meals so everyone will find something to their liking.

Authentic italian. Doesn't get much better than Monte's. They're still fairly new (although technically they've been around for a long time--they're actually the first italian restaurant in bk) but the quality of their food is phenomenal. I see them being around a long time.

one of bk's best brunch spots. brunch is a pretty big deal in this city and when you find the perfect brunch spot, you tend to claim it as your own. that's how i feel about monte's. i've tried sooo many different things from their menu and i think the cinnamon raisin french toast has gotta be my favorite. but their frittatas are also pretty good.

Burger Nights are a must. at Monte's. You get a burger, fries and a beer for only $10--that is pretty rare nowadays. And the burger is sooooooo good, you will be leaving very satisfied.

Pizza in Brooklyn? Fuggedaboutit!. If you're looking for a great night out (not to mention the best pizza in Brooklyn) look no further then Monte's. I had mixed feelings about this place at first after seeing some mixed reviews, but after trying it--there's no denying it! Best pizza in Brooklyn is a total understatement!

Loooooove their pizza. All the ingredients are so so fresh and the staff here is superb! Great for taking the entire family out for some pizza. And now that the weather is getting nice you can take advantage of their outdoor seating.

great service family friendly atmosphere. i love the environment here, the crowd was very nice and peaceful very amenable. the food was great to, i love bringing the kids here for a nice relaxing sunday evening.
