Awesome Japanese Straightening!. I am a dental hygienist and one of my patients had japanese straightening done and it looked great! I asked her where she had it done and she told me Hair Village in Woodside, Queens. I called to make an appointment and spoke to Mini the owner and found out that in Woodside there are no appointments, it is first come first serve but there was another location she had in Park Slope Brooklyn that was less hectic if I was interested in going there. I decided to go and it was pretty direct as far as location. I took the LIRR and then a short taxi ride. When I arrived at the shop, everyone was so friendly and I felt very comfortable and relaxed! The process took about 3 1/2 hours but the atmosphere was very nice and I felt I was really treated well. My hair came out absolutely perfect! Better than I imagined and I even got a trim to remove some split ends and that was included in the price! I believe that word-of-mouth and client recommendations are the best and most reliable forms of customer satisfaction which is why I am taking the time to write this review! It was well worth my time to travel to this location!

Facial and Brazilian Straight. It was my first time at Mini Hair Village Spa and I wanted to try out the straightening. I heard of this place in Queens, they have about 35-50 customers come in for either a Japanese or Brazilian Straightening. I wonder why they were inexpensive, it's only because they have customers everyday that come in for a Japanese or Brazilian. I stopped by their store in Queens and it was packed! There were hardly place to sit. Mini, the owner, told me to come to her new store in Park Slope Brooklyn so that's how everything came about.

There were pictures on Yelp, so that help me kind of get the gist of how everything looks.

Before I started anything I wanted a facial so

I got a deep pore facial. It was Amazing! The masseuse was nice and on top she gave me a foot massage, too. It was absolutely amazing. I loved it. It felt so good. Then I went for a Brazilian because I wasn't too sure of how the Japanese would come out. She says it'll look more natural compare to the Japanese. The process was about 3 hours and I was comfortable in my chair. I can eat without feeling awkward, there was television and if I wanted to listen to music I could simply ask the lady to switch it for me. The workers are so kind and very professional with their job. I loved it. I'm coming back for another facial in a week or two.

Japanese Straightening. I live around here 9st and I always pass by this place. My neighbors weren't fond of the lightings, but other than that the reviews on yelp were great.

Some of the people were very descriptive on the process of the Japanese Straight. If you can't find the reviews it's all the way on the bottom, unfortunately Yelp filtered the reviews. They have before and after pictures of little girls getting their hair done, it was absolutely adorable

Anyway, I've decided to stop by myself and check out the prices and the products that they use. I was astonished by the price because I stopped by at least 3 or 4 beauty salons for their prices and the charges were incomparable to what they've charged my semi-long and curly hair. Mini gave me $160. So I definitely made an appointment.

Best Japanese Straight & Brazilian Keratin Perm. I love getting my hair done here, the workers are so friendly and humorous. The setting and vibe here is like a family. The workers are professional when at work, but when they aren't working they make fun conversation with you.

They tell me what I need for my hair and if you want they will tell their opinions or variety of possible styles for you. They're excellent listeners, if you tell them specifically what you want, they won't force you to do something else, but simply suggest or tell you they cannot do the job. They do not rip the customers off especially because the neighborhood here at Park Slope is an expensive neighborhood, but the prices they put on for their hair, nail, wax & facial spa services are affordable and inexpensive for men and women.
