Brooklyn >Dhaga Salon
Brooklyn-native Katia opened this small salon back in 2009 after noticing that in spite of the profusion of threading spots in the area,
most were fairly bare-bones. Dhaga, which means thread in Hindi, is anything but, and quickly became a favorite for neighborhood residents and beyond. customers come from as far away as Long Island for its reasonably priced blowouts, haircuts, threading, and makeup services (the salon's sweet-smelling chocolate wax is also popular).
The Indian theme carries through with the bright pink and orange walls in the hair styling/cutting room. In a private room in the back, customers can receive massages, acupuncture, and facials with Repechage and SkinCeuticals products. Henna tattoos are also offered. We also sell products like Moroccan oil and more... Check our website above for details.

I am thrilled to have found Dhaga salon and can't say enough wonderful things about Mila Shapiro. Mila has now cut and colored my hair for two years straight and the compliments on her work keep coming my way. I give her all the credit. She is joyful, honest, caring and always does a fabulous job. Thank you, Mila!
Mila has cut my hair now for 12 years and I can't say enough about her. She has cut my hair for all the important events in my life, including my wedding, and always gets it right! She is very pleasant, has a great attitude, and most importantly makes me look great!
Mila is great! I find her so good with short hair (which I have), but I see her working on all sorts of styles. I have been with her for years, and she only works at the best places. Susan
I come to this salon from DUMBO just to see Natasha. She does a great with my short thick hair. She also does a great job with friend of mine's hair, which is super curly. I guess she can do it all! Plus, they are just remodeling so it will be even nicer to visit!
I am so excited that my favorite hair
stylist and colorist just moved to Dhaga! Natasha is the best hair stylist that I have found in Brooklyn. She is great with my thick, short hair and has even stayed late to fix my hair for date night.
I will definitely move salons with her and I am excited to try Dhaga... it looks so cute!
