From The Owner of Mrs. Kim's
The former River Barrel space now hosts a panoply of Korean food to the Greenpoint gentry.

Opinions are divided on this, the sole
Greenpoint Korean restaurant as of this review, but I have an affection for this spot. Mama Kim's serves slightly experimental, modern twists like radish kimchi with boquerones; a hangover stew with pork belly and shoulder; and spicy rice cakes (a.k.a. ddukbokki) that stray from the traditional taste with their heavier sauce. Plus they have my favorite cocktail -- the Corpse Reviver 2, and their drinks are righteously strong in general.

Though not strictly authentic, this is the only Korean restaurant in Greenpoint. It claims to be famous for its bimimbop, but Mrs. Kim's ought to be pushing its pork buns--huge, succulent hunks of pork belly clamped in a doughy rice cake.
