Citysearch Editorial Profile. If a Mexican restaurant is deemed authentic when its owners are actual south of the border folk and not white interlopers, the malapropisms on the menu here--"Flower tortillas," "shrimp cook in a creamy cheese"--rules out the latter. Said menu sprawls from burritos and tacos to Dominican specialties like mashed plantains with garlic butter shrimp. It isn't cheap, but then again this isn't some hole-in-the-wall taqueria--the huge space holds a full bar and the only mechanical bull in Brooklyn, making it a great option for margarita powered birthdays in the 'Burg. It can get a bit loud, what with the cheesy rock and screaming girls on the bull, but no one's coming here to read a book, anyway.
