It’s a homecoming for chef Michael Ayoub, who has returned to Park Slope 20 years after he opened trendsetting Italian eatery Cucina--in the same space where he has now unveiled his second branch of pizzeria Fornino. At this large, casual restaurant, Ayoub focuses on grilled pizzas crowned with everything from gorgonzola and figs to clams or wild mushrooms. Beyond pies, there are plenty of hearty pastas and well-prepared entrées such as diver scallops with sunchokes, skate-wing Milanese and lamb sausage.
