My Favorite Brooklyn Bar.
I'm hesitant to write about Dram because I feel like it is already busier than I want it to be -- at least on the weekends, anyway. This is the cozy, understated bar that Brooklyn needed. Amazing cocktails (only nine bucks!), friendly bartenders and chill music. It's my favorite date spot -- I think the lighting makes everyone look better.

Citysearch Editorial Review.
On a dark stretch of South Fourth, the glow from Dram is welcome, as are its craft cocktails and unpretentious, lodge-like atmosphere. A waxed canvas kayak serves as a chandelier, and its light reflects onto the wood bar and barmen from the likes of The Randolph at Broome. This is a serious cocktail joint, though the drink list is neither overly extensive nor expensive (at least by 11-ingredient cocktail standards). There are just four featured cocktails on the daily changing menu--on one visit, there was a rye, lemon, lime, and house-made ginger beer combo, and classic cocktails are always available. There's also a short list of mostly local microbrews, a handful of wines and a few cult boozeless options like Mexican Coke. Sound too precious? Dram offers cheap shots and beers late-night for the industry crowd.
