Has a nice back room, great beer selection and pretty good bar food. Must get the Mac n cheese and fried Brussels sprouts.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Glasslands Gallery is host to some of the most avant garde music and art shows in Williamsburg, so it stands to reason that a Greenpoint gastropub from the same owners would have a musical bent and some serious hipster appeal. The interior keeps with the vintage aesthetic so common in Brooklyn (i.e. Prohibition-era speakeasy), albeit with a few quirky touches: Salvaged classroom chairs, an asymmetrical chandelier and, the piece de resistance, a white baby grand piano. Bouley alum Justin Farmer’s kitchen turns out locally sourced, contemporary American dishes like cottage pies and pork belly and kimchi sandwiches, which the stylish crowd noshes on between sips of their cocktails while listening to musicians play into the night.
