A no-frills neighborhood bar and restaurant in Cobble Hill.. Avoid the Smith Street crowds and kick back at this simple, standard neighborhood spot. The sparse decor (votive candles, exposed brick walls and two flat-screen TVs) along with a quaint back patio make People’s Republic of Brooklyn a good stop for after-work chilling. Although there’s a full bar for those that love stiff libations, the brew crew will have to settle for Brooklyn Lager, Corona or Heineken.
