bad news. Food is average and expensive. If it weren't for the people serving you I would go there again.

I don't need the employee to fall all over themselves kissing my ass and smiling and thank youing and blah blah. But two of the main operators - both the owner and the sea hag that looks like the dude from the crying game - have been horribly rude to me on multiple occasions. It's on my way to work so until yesterday I kept going and chalked it up to...character...but when I went in for a coffee, tried a sample of the cut up muffin and asked what it was, the crying game hag gave me the most piercing dirty look and didn't answer me. She then barked $2.50 at me in an Irish accent. I hand her $2 and go for the .50 and she barks, "fifty!".

I'm not a reviewer, if I have a super good or bad or medium experience I usually just tell my friends. But I signed up to review specifically to put out the word - this place is bad vibes!!!!!!!!!

Citysearch Editorial Review. This tiny sandwich shop and bakery has some serious credentials, in that co-owners Caroline Fidanza, Elizabeth Schula and Rebecca Collerton all worked at both Marlow & Sons and Diner. Now they’ve brought their culinary skills and locavore sensibilities to a small, homey spot in Williamsburg. Sandwiches, all served on homemade focaccia bread and Parker House rolls, range from the Captain’s Daughter (sardines, pickled eggs, salsa verde) to the Scuttlebutt (tomato, peppers, hardboiled eggs, feta, olives, capers). All of the produce is sourced from local farms and all of the meat is sustainably raised. Baked goods are as unique as they are tasty, including the lavender cake, olive oil loaf and Eccles cakes made with currants and whiskey.
