It’s been a long journey (more than 20 years, in fact) for the Knitting Factory, from its original Lower East Side space to Tribeca and finally across the river to Williamsburg. The most stunning element of the venue’s latest incarnation? That would be the huge, soundproof glass windows that separate the main bar from the 200-capacity concert area, providing a great view of the stage even for those just looking for a casual drink. The entry area also sports an old-school vinyl DJ setup to entertain patrons sitting inside the ample leather booths and long wooden tables.

great venue, great layout, good atmosphere, bar staff much to be desired.
Don't you just hate it when you love everything about a place, but one or two bad experiences with the bar staff can put you off ever going back.
After trying to get the attention of another bar tender, in hope of being served by them, three drinks in i gave up. no matter how polite I was, I just got more and more attitude from her, my drinks went from weak to weaker the usual sour face, fine... but $7 for a drink, I expect alcohol in it.
- Pros: great a venue
- Cons: bitching bar tender
