Dark wood, low tin ceilings, dim lighting and chandeliers create an intimate vibe at this Williamsburg bar and music venue. Behind a velvet curtain, a typical skinny jean-clad crowd sips reasonably priced microbrews while ogling at up-and-coming indie bands raging on a borderline makeshift stage. Psychedelic images projected onto the platform make for a funky backdrop. Between acts, try your hand at old-school arcade games like PacMan and Attack from Mars. Post show, expect a late-night dance party.
Long Island iced tea - disgusting!
by juana campana at Citysearch
Whenever someone orders a Long island Iced Tea - its like a car alarm in my head as a bartender. Most places you order this will fix you a tall stiff drink comprised of all white well liquor (gin, rum, vodka) and coke. Its traditionally ordered by young girls who don't know any better, else older guys who have plans for them for later... I recommend sticking to one main liquor instead - say a rum and coke, or a vodka soda, or a gin and tonic. Don't put all 3 in the same glass. And as for the guys - do the right thing and just order that little gal a plain ole coca cola.
- Pros: none
- Cons: teenage girl hding behind older guy ordering drink
