Brooklyn >Food & Dining > Checkers
convenient location after a late movie. I half to be honest the burgers are not the best but it is a good burger. Iam glad there are still open til three am Thurs-Sat because it is right next to the theater and after the movie I just half to run in and get some food and drink. The service is fast and friendly which sure beats Happy days and five guys in that aspect. There are specials with the foods such as two chicken burgers posted on the door for $3.00 senior citizen discount 15% off between 11am and 2pm believe on Sundays if im not mistaken. prices are reasonable will be back the next time I go to a late movie.
My favorite burger place.
This store beats Happy days and five guys anytime. The meal is cheaper
and the burgers taste better. I love this store. The staff is really friendly.
Mediocre midwestern burger chain.. Checkers (known elsewhere in the U.S. as Rally's) is at first glance a strange choice to alight onto a New York street. The essence of the chain's concept, as its' black and white racing flag logo suggests, is its twin drive-through set-up, which suffers a double amputation in order to occupy a Brooklyn Heights storefront. Few people come expressly for the burgers--which are no better or worse than any other fast-food joint’s--which is probably why the chain hedges its bets with a long menu filled with chicken wings, hot dogs, fish sandwiches and so on. The thick milkshakes deserve some praise, but so long as New York remains one of the best food cities in the world, Checkers will always be totally unremarkable.
