Brooklyn >Len's Appliance Svc
Total Rip Off. Their pricing is nearly criminal. Len's told me that a service call cost $125. That seemed a lot to me, but I figured that it was a house call in the city, and they have parking expenses, etc.. The repairman replaced a burned-out fuse on my Viking Microwave. He was in and out of my apartment in 20 minutes. So I figured I was going to pay the full $125 and that was it. The bill? $381. That's right and is not a mis-print: $381. I almost threw the guy out of my apartment...threw the window. He said: minimum service is $275. And he was charging me $75 for the fuse! I took pity on the repairman, and i was on a conference call at the time (he came an hour late to my apartment), so I paid Len's Appliance Service the blood money and moved on. But please! Do not make the mistake I did. Don't give any of your hard earned money to these criminals. $381 for 20 minutes of service? I don't even know top corporate lawyers that charge those kind of rates. Even Elliot Spitzer wouldn't pay that for his escorts! Do yourself a favor and find a much more honest appliance service company than Len's. They are a bunch of criminals
Nice people who don't show up.
I have had trouble getting this company to return to actually fix the dryer--I paid a $136.09 service fee but they reschedule often. Spent the whole day waiting for repair person-very nice guy-but now at 4:12pm I have called and was told by Len, the owner, that the repair person is too busy to come by.No apology-was told I will be a priority tomorrow. Stay tuned. We'll see-will let you know if they actually show up and fix machine.
NOTE: Called this morning to ask for an estimate-they had never given me one. Glad I did: $400 to open the ASKO dryer!!!! and $120 for 2 rollers. Plus maybe (!) a pulley had to be replaced-"Maybe." Cancelled appt: after a no show yesterday and then a $400 charge to open a dryer, I will contact another ASKO repair co.
