Tips for Vegetarian Ginger

Montague Street's vegan eatery.
The place looks as though it were decorated by one of Mayor Bloomberg's hatchet men--with a mandate to cut the budget to the bone. The wooden chairs are not upholstered, the heating is by portable units rather than central, the walls are, to put it gently, uncluttered.
The servers speak little English. Dishes depend on the mood of the chef. At times the tofu is cardboard, the tea is overpriced at $2.75. If you want to be heard, rejoice: your voice will echo throughout the establishment.

Former fan.
I don't know if the chef here changed but the food has sure gone WAY downhill. Noodle dishes are overly soaked in sauce, Vegetables lack any seasoning, and tons of oil. The staff are strange and never seem to know what you are saying. Anytime I have eaten there, I got the wrong food. SO disappointing because it USED to be good.
