“That said I would recommend them highly because this is a great team that Acme has and the customer service is the best to deal with.”
They are Thiefs under a business name!!.
I was in search for Long distance movers from newyork to California. I was very much on budget. I called various companies. Despite all the reviews i decided to take a chance. I spoke with Michael W
over the phone , he was very persuasive that we can trust them and the price they gave me was the guranteed price. Price was $1,500.00 GURANTEED!!We trusted them and paid half of the over the phone. They went to pick up the furniture and i received a phone call from a driver informed me that we needed to pay $3,200. So I told them i could not afford this price and they needed to cancel the move. Than i was informed that they will keep all the money i have already paid them and only refund me $100. I agreed. They made me sign a paperwork. As i was sending the paperwork. the driver drove off with all the furniture. I called the driver and he told me that his boss instructed him to drive off with all the furniture. We immediately called police. They told the police officer that their work hours ended at 5 pm so they went home !? I have received many phone calls, from the boss ( russion guy called abe) Michael w, Adam Carter also the driver. They wanted to negoitiate a price with me . Basicly black mail me for money before they return the furniture to me. These people are fearless crooks, they operate under a business name but they are thiefs. They made us go thru many hours of agony. I never prayed for somone to be punished but I pray that they all suffer for their bad deeds. I know its only furniture but anyone will be upset when they load their entire belongings to a truck so that someone will stole them. I am filing a complaint with district attorney, public of transportation and any channel to make sure that they dont hurt anyone again.
Also Please check the good reviews history. They are all written by them!!!!!!…
DO NOT USE ACME VAN LINES. THIS COMPANY LIED ABOUT THEIR ESTIMATE - THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS - THE OVERCHARGED ME $21,000 THEN BREACHED THEIR CONTRACT - THEY BROKE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF MERCHANDISE AND STOLE MANY ITEMS - THEIR OWNERS ARE COMPLETLY UNRESPONSIVE - I AM SUING THEM IN BROOKLYN NEW YORK Case number: 16319 SCK 2011…
WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER. I HIRED ACME TO MOVE ME FROM NY TO ORLANDO AND WAS PLEASED WITH THE PICK UP BUT HORRIFIED WITH THE DELIVERY. THEIR WORKER EXTORTED $75 FOR EXTRA STEPS WHEN IT SAYS IN MY CONTRACT FIRST FLIGHT FREE. ALL BOXES SHOWED UP CRUSHED AND THEY DAMAGED $1000 BUNK BEDS AND TV STAND. AND ON TOP OF IT ALL THE DELIVERY GUY SAID I SHOULD'VE DONE THE RESEARCH AND HIRED A BETTER COMPANY. I WISH I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE 1 STAR…
DO NOT USE ACME VAN LINES!!!!. This review is for Acme Van Lines. I scheduled them for a local move a month before my move and emphasized to their sales rep how important it was that I be moved first thing in the morning. My appointment was for 9 am. The movers never showed up!!! I was not contacted. When I called Acme, I was told that one of their trucks broke down (BS) and that they would be at my place at 1 pm. At 3 pm, I was told 430 pm, and so on. When I demanded a discount off their services for the following day, they refused. I didn't even get an apology. So I cancelled them and hired new movers for the next day. These people are AWFUL and UNRELIABLE. Do not hire them. If they don't show up, there's nothing you can do about it. Better off going with one of the larger companies like Flatrate.…
The Shyster Ways of Acme Van Lines. My Company had entered into a written and signed contract with the business I am filing a complaint against, to store cargo that I would be delivering to their warehouse. All of the dimensions, weight, and pieces were agreed upon and detailed in the contract that we were given and signed. Upon arrival at the scheduled date and time, the owner of the company informed me that he would be raising the storage fee because he felt, after physically seeing the cargo, that it was too large for the price that he had originally given and agreed upon. I was adamant in my position that we had entered into an agreement which he was now altering in an ill conceived attempt to acquire more money from my company. I had no where else to go with my cargo and was forced to drive it back from their location to the Museum that I work for and have several of my contracted men work overtime, well into the evening, opening wooden crates filled with cargo that was intended to be stored off site for several months, and take apart walls of the building to properly fit the large product neatly and safely within the confines of the Museum.…
